For those of us who build niche websites, finding good quality content on a regular basis can be a daunting task. For those that own a number of sites, writing enough content to keep the search engines satisfied can be too time consuming for one individual to handle. In order to get around this a webmaster has two options: Hire someone to write content or use an automated plugin to produce content.

Face it, ordering fresh content from a quality article writer can be expensive, especially for new sites that aren’t yet earning. What seems to be a popular thing to do today is to purchase some sort of plugin that will automatically produce content from Yahoo answers, Wikipedia or another source. On the surface this seems like a great idea, but in the long run, I think it’s a BIG MISTAKE. I am positive that over time, the search engines will be able to detect these sort of plugins and penalize your site.

There is no substitute for quality, unique content written by a real person. Our human nature is always trying to find ways to make our life easier, but this is one task that just can’t be avoided. Either spend time writing your own unique content or hire someone to write content for you.

For many years Google and the other big search engines indexed websites that had little information, just links to products and affiliate banners. In recent times, Google in particular has been quite clear about what it wants; A website full of quality information, not just affiliate links. For many affiliate marketers, this spelled the end of their business, but for those willing to put the effort in, adding content was the easiest way to improve the websites so that they rank well and generate revenue.

The trouble with many of the store building scripts and software that are heavily marketed is that they only help to produce what are called “thin affiliate websties.” Build a Niche Store, PhpBayPro and Popshops.com are just 3 of the more popular packages that can make it easy to build a niche website. The problem is not with the software though, it’s in the mind of the one using it. These services make it easy to put up a website with affiliate products and plenty of people have been sucked into believing that this is all they need to do – Buy the software or script, build a website in 20 minutes and wait for the money to roll in. If this happens to be your approach, don’t quit your day job! While these services are great tools to make building easy, they don’t help with the content which is much more important. When you use BANS, phpBayPro or Popshops to build a site, you still need plenty of valuable content if you want to make money and rank well.

Visit our Order Page for information on how to order content for your niche website.

Maybe I’m strange, but something I enjoy doing is browsing the online classifieds and reading some of ads that describe items listed for sale. Let’s just say that many of them are quite poor. Let’s look at a few titles:

“Qween Matress for sale”

“Coach and luvseat for sale”

Or what about an advertisement that says:

“umm…i have an mattress for sale. dubble size very clean just bought last year need to sell asap cause i’m moving in with my boyfreind.”

This is no joke! These types of advertisements do exist and this emphasizes the reasons why it’s important to use proper grammar and spelling in your website content, blog posts or article directory submissions. Ask yourself this question; Would you make a major purchase from a website with dreadful spelling and grammar?

Maybe not.

In order for a website to portray a professional image, it’s not just the design that is important. Making sure that the words on the page make sense and that the spelling is correct is also vital to your website’s future earnings potential.

Just because someone cannot write well does not mean they are not intelligent. Consider an automobile mechanic. I cannot fix my own car, but a mechanic could. Just because I can’t does not mean I am less intelligent, it just means that I have different skills and abilities. What I’m suggesting is that if you know that your writing skills are less than perfect, hire someone else to do it for you. If you are determined to write your own content and you know that your writing is not as good as it could be, why not hire someone to at least edit your content to correct some of the mistakes.

Don’t under-estimate the power of well-written content on your website. If visitors perceive your website as a legitimate business due to the professionalism of the design and content, the small investment into good quality content will pay off.

For many webmasters, balancing design, maintenance and content is a challenge and since we all know there’s just 24 hours in one day, often content takes the back seat when it comes to building a website. Sure, link building is important, design is important and maintaining your website is important, but content often falls through the cracks.

In an attempt to add content to a website, many webmasters turn to inexpensive article writers that can churn out thousands of words in a matter of hours. While a cheap deal on writing seems hard to pass up, many of these article writers lack basic English understanding, thus resulting in poor quality articles. Of course you can place a poor article on your website, but if you are trying to build a long term website and increase your earnings potential, it’s better to pay a little more and get quality, written content.

If you have finally reached the point where you cannot justify spending a great deal of time developing content, it’s time to hire a content writer for your website.
